Not all knights come with a shining armour, we soon discovered.

Our quest for a bigger adventure abode began and it wasn’t long until a glorious wreckage caught our eyes, and fired up our imaginations.

Yes it was covered in a strange green algae film, yes it was a giant aluminium box that looked more like a cattle-shed on wheels than a majestic machine for holiday adventures. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the Warwick Knight had captured our hearts. Which is lucky, as what would come next was a true labour of love.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Our friends and family would ask when they visited, invited to admire our new addition. “Oh yes” we would nod devotedly, with the rosy gaze of the adoring.

This archive picture gives you a glimpse of the potential we saw in our 1950’s Warwick Knight – that roof garden!
